Part 6 - Brilliant Reputation
The Jullundur Brigade was making a great and glorious record and gaining a brilliant reputation for steadiness and devotion to duty under great pressure and in all circumstances. Not an inch of trench was lost and the troops were ready under any conditions and whenever ordered.
1914 came to a close. Casualties now amounted to 9,579 and the Indian Corps was in need of rest and refit. After two months of combat there was a need to recuperate and retrain in the mechanics of trench warfare.
